The view from where I stand

Thankfully doesn't include flooded out parents but it does include....

Except that in my case it is called a "blurbully belly"

I love my kids. No. Really! I do!

Oh my WORD I miss Baby Blues. I haven't found a newspaper here that has real comics.

And I distinctly recall playing with the belly of a friend of the family when I was about three... kneading it and calling it 'dough...'

*sigh*

Kids. Sociopathic little cusses, aren't they?

A heart felt blessing on the internet.

Oh My Dear,

And I mean that both literally and figuratively. You may have a "blurbully belly", but let's be honest about it. There are absolutely no wrinkles on your stretch marks. You don't have any wrinkles anywhere at all. Not a wrinkle in sight, not even at the corner of your eyes. I see your face at close range on a daily basis and I see no wrinkles anywhere. You look superb.

Okay, I'll admit that the twins did kind of lay waste to your flat stomach, and the last baby didn't help that shrink up any, but honestly, that little bit of over-stretched belly skin doesn't do a thing to dampen your overall beauty and loveliness. You radiate something that a bit of stretched skin couldn't hope to mask. I wouldn't trade you for any of those little crop-topped freshettes in my class (and some of them are very pretty). You are just so great in so many ways. In 15 years I've only grown to love you more and more, even when I didn't think it was possible to love you more. You're blurbuls just can't do anything to dampen the shine that you radiate.

Baby Blues is a funny cartoon, but you are completely real, and absolutely the best.

Your loving DH

When my son was almost 4, I was walking away from him down the hall and he yelled, "Mommy I love your butt. It waves to me."

And I guess it still does....18 years later.

@ Valerie

I know what your son means. I love the little side-to-side twitch in Jackie's butt as she walks away from me. Always did, always will. Admittedly, it's not in quite the same way as your son thought of it at age 4, but at least we're both homing in on some part of feminine loveliness.
