New Yarn

Here is my plied Shetland. This is in the Fortune's Rock colour way. It turned out much different than the last batch that I dyed in this colour because the fleece was grey instead of white. Lots of brown and orange and next to no purple in the finished yarn.

I have been spinning the past few evenings and so I will be back soon with more yarn. I have been enjoying a break from weaving but need to start up producing for sale again.

The colors are lovely. It is interesting how the fleece color makes such a subtle difference. I love dyeing colored fleece.

Here is my two cents worth Jackie. That is a beautiful creation. Quite a departure from your usual colors thought. But I love it and I love the the name too. I remembered seeing a Shetland 3 ply skein of the same color in one of your post after Christmas and thought what a beautiful combination of rich colors it was. So I went back to check and sure enough, there it was, January 7, 08. A 3 ply skien of Shetland. Is this another batch?
Thanks for blogging Jackie. It gives me something to look forward to every day. Mamoo

Yeah, that's a wonderful ball of yarn. Jackie's range of colour exploration is, to this non-artist, truly remarkable. And they all turn out so well. I don't know how she does it. But she does it consistently. It's always exciting, waiting to see what the next thing is going to be like.

Jackie is one truly awesome woman. They just don't get any better than her.
