Happy New Year!

And let us ring in the new year with some new yarn! This is my fresh hand spun superwash merino. Maybe some will get made into socks that can go through the wash. Sounds like a good idea to me.
Nicole got a brand new tea set for Christmas and this afternoon, her and her siblings set up for a tea party. Everyone had a great time and the mess was kept to a minimum because of the red terry cloth table cloth that soaked up many spills.
And on top of everything else, we had more snow today. Mira was astonished at the state of the car. Yes, that lump is the car. The small black rectangle is the mirror of the car. And there is more snow coming.

Tonight we all went out to our friend Linda's place for our annual New Years Eve game night. We all had a great time, even the kids. We had originally planned to play charades, but after eating so much food, we decided to settle on a game of Quiddler. The kids settled in to watch a few movies.

What did you do?

I'm going to bed now. I'm tired.

Happy New Year!

That snow's terrifying.

Apparently everybody in Glasgow took last night to get some decent sleep - it was downright quiet compared to the last several weeks! So, after all of the fireworks, we had quite a good sleep.

Hope you did as well, with the quiet of snow falling, covering the world.

I spent the evening on the computer! Not very new years eve-ish, I know, but family will be over today.

Your handspun just gets better and better! Those newest skeins are absolutely yummy.

A very happy new year to you too Jackie!

Sydney and I did the countdown together while watching it on TV. I was also typing keys on the laptop at the stroke of midnight... after that it was bedtime :) Am I getting old or what?

We spent the evening watching Ron James on CBC (he threw in some New Brunswick jokes) and sipping a nice Australian Port.
Your handspun yarn is lovely!!

Oh..we also had about 8" of wet, heavy snow dumped on us.

I love that snow! We have lots of sunshine on the one day of the year I need a cloudy day. :)

The Champagne taste test went well. In fact, we were up until 5 am enjoying the New Year. I should note that the fancy pants stuff was the loser and the $7 and $10 bottles won.

Happy New Year!

We figured out why everybody was so quiet on new years' eve: they were resting up for the craziness of having a ceilidh upstairs which lasted most of the night! They were still at it this morning at 5!
